Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
